Ontario Soccer Association
Outreach exhibit for the Soccer hall of Fame and Museum, based in Vaughn, Ontario. The six bannerstands encapsulate the museum’s ever-growing collection of memorabilia in dynamic and flexible format. Comprised of 6 retractable bannerstands, it is a portable yet powerful visual display for education and promotion.
This 3-panel display highlights Canada’s three professional soccer teams, the Montreal Impact, Toronto FC and the the Vancouver Whitecaps and the Voyageur Cup, presented to the winner of the Canadian Championship. Designed as a back panel for a display case featuring team swag and keepsakes, it was important to give each team it’s own identity with the context of the overall panel and co-ordinate with the arrangement of material in the case.
Again, a back panel for a display case, What’s in Your Attic? is a Photoshop composition of about 20 different items to represent one of the many treasure troves of soccer history that hide above our heads across Canada. The key was to keep the overall effect realistic yet simple so as to not overwhelm the artifacts in the case itself, and to prompt viewers into wondering what may be hiding in their own attics.
